Tricare Online Dental
Tricare Dental Plan (TDP) is a voluntary dental insurance program. Dental benefits are administered by United Concordia and are available to active duty, National Guard and Reserve members and their families. Available in the United States (CONUS) and overseas (OCONUS).

To be eligible for TDP, your sponsor must be 12 months old at the time of enrollment. Eligible family members are spouses and children under the age of 21 (or 23 if a full-time student). You sign up for 12 months.
There are two fees associated with TDP, monthly fee and issue premium. The monthly payment depends on the status of the sponsor and the number of people in the scheme (one person per family). Payment components are based on the service provided, sponsor payment, and location (CONUS/OCONUS) where treatment is provided.
Payment is a “pay it forward” scheme. This means you pay this month’s premium to get next month’s coverage. If you work, you can arrange a place where you pay the fee. You can also make regular payments from your current account or credit/debit card.
If you don’t make your monthly payments, your coverage will lapse and you won’t be able to re-enroll for the next 12 months.

Copays are out-of-pocket costs you pay for certain services. Your grade is determined by your grade and whether you live in CONUS or OCONUS. The table below shows the distribution of pay ranges.
The TDP contract year runs from May 1 to April 30. The maximum annual payment for foreign services is $1,500 per person. The cost of some diagnostic and preventive services does not apply to the annual maximum.
Orthodontic treatment costs $1,750 per person. If a member uses orthodontic services, the cost of those services will not exceed $1,750 during the member’s lifetime.
In the OCONUS service area, the government pays for payments that exceed the allowable repayment until the loan is repaid. This IRR applies to all participants other than designated surrogate family members and IRR members (except Special Awareness Unit).
