Can I Get Tricare As A Disabled Veteran In New York?
TMH is approved by TRICARE to provide mental health services throughout Japan. Whether you’re looking for psychological counseling or assessment in Okinawa, the Tokyo area, or via telehealth, we can help. We serve TRICARE members with Prime, Select and Plus policies.
Unfortunately, we cannot provide any psychiatric or medical services. Please contact your Military Treatment Facility (MTF) for these.

As a TRICARE-approved provider, direct billing means that once we are referred by your primary medical treatment facility (MTF), we can provide treatment and support to you and your family without having to cover your treatment costs or retroactively submit requests for services. . If you or your family would benefit from a comprehensive psychological evaluation or psychological treatment or counseling, please speak to MTF about a referral to our Tokyo or Okinawa offices or a referral for telehealth services. Currently, full psychological evaluations are only available at our Tokyo office. After receiving the referral from MTF and TRICARE, our TRICARE Prime team will contact you via email.

Select beneficiaries in need of TRICARE mental health services (see this link for eligibility criteria) can contact us through our web contact form to schedule an appointment. Unlike TRICARE Prime, no MTF referrals are required. Our TRICARE Select/Plus team will assist you with your request via email and assign you one of our providers accordingly. Certain types of services may require your prior permission.
You should expect to pay session fees in advance and submit your claim retroactively to TRICARE. Your therapist will provide you with the necessary invoices to facilitate your claim.

TOL Patient Portal puts the patient at the center with easy access to appointments, prescriptions, medical records, secure messages, etc.
More than 675,000 beneficiaries regularly access TOL to perform a wide range of health care tasks, including scheduling appointments at military hospitals and clinics, accessing personal health data from the Department of Defense and the Veterans Administration, and requesting prescription refills. Updates to the TOL login and home pages include clean, visually appealing designs and focused graphics that make it easy to quickly find and connect to specific TOL portal information and services for patients.
The updates are the first in a two-step process to improve the TOL Patient Portal user experience. Planned improvements for Phase 2 include implementation of mobile access, redesign of TOL modules and increased capacity.
