YES! Tricare Select, Tricare Prime or Tricare Prime-Remote covers all health services. Your benefits cover mental health services for active members and their dependents. Tricare allows you to work with a therapist to receive individual counseling, family therapy, or outpatient substance abuse treatment.

This is a question I get asked a lot these days and I’m so glad the answer is YES! It doesn’t matter if you’re in Tricare East or Tricare West, or if you have Tricare Select, Prime, or Prime-Remote, you can use Tricare insurance to see an online treatment counselor. This benefit is covered in the same way that traditional in-office therapy sessions are covered by Tricare.
