Delta Dental For Calpers Retirees
The Joint Health Management Board and the Fresno Unified School District have eliminated the coinsurance percentage you pay for medical services after your deductible is met if you are enrolled in Plan Option A (PPO) or Plan Option C (Kaiser Permanente®). If you are a Plan Option B participant (PPO), the coinsurance percentage you pay after your deductible is met drops to 20%.
Csu, Dominguez Hills Employee Benefits Summary
Beginning January 1, 2024, the annual deductible for all covered family members of a dual covered member enrolled in PPO Plan Option A or PPO Plan Option B is waived. To be eligible for this waiver, two District employees or retirees must be married to another or in a general partnership, each must register their spouse/partner as a dependent under the plan.
Vision coverage is now provided by VSP Vision as a plan (PPO). Switching to a new provider also comes with additional in-network benefits, including an increase in the in-network frame allowance to $175 (up from $130), an additional calendar year allowance for glasses and contact lenses, and added full coverage for progressive and transitional lenses. .

If you choose Delta Dental’s Premier Incentive Plan, you’ll receive additional benefits, including up to 100% coverage for many dental services through in-network and out-of-network providers. The plan is based on a new tiered structure designed to increase your benefits while you continue to receive dental care each year. This plan is an enhancement to the existing Delta Dental Dental PPO™ plan.

Fusd Open Enrollment: Medicare Retirees
As a reminder, you must notify the District within 60 days of the date a dependent no longer meets the eligibility criteria for dependency coverage (including divorce or separation; and termination, dissolution, or annulment of a partnership).
If you do not notify the district within the required time period, you may be responsible for reimbursement of any claims paid for ineligible dependents.
Enroll in Medicare when you and/or your spouse or dependents become eligible retirees to minimize your payments.
The Joint Health Management Board wants to remind you of the importance of enrolling in Medicare when you are eligible. The District’s health plan states that you must enroll in Medicare Parts A and B as soon as you and/or your spouse or dependents become eligible for Medicare as a retiree.
Employee And Retirement Benefits
Your specific coordination of benefits (COB) changes when you become eligible for Medicare as a retiree, which can lead to reductions in plan payments and increases in your patient liability if you don’t enroll in Medicare. This requirement applies only to retirees from the Fresno Unified School District Employee Health Care Plan. Active employees age 65 and older are not required to enroll in Medicare.
